Mike Nezworski – Owner / Certified Arborist RM-8801A
Mike grew up in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and Michigan and moved to Wyoming in 2006 where he started his career in construction. He moved to Billings, MT with his family in 2013 and continued in the construction industry for another 4 years. He started cutting trees for friends in 2014 just to help out and make a little extra money. In 2017 CM Tree Service and Removal was born and in 2020 he purchased another tree service company to expand the business. Since then, the company has grown exponentially from a couple friends working weekends with a single boom truck and trailer, to an ever-expanding company, currently with 12 full time employees and industry leading equipment including a spider lift, grapple truck and 40-ton crane. Mike’s vision for CM Tree Service has been growth from the start. His biggest goal is to be a good steward in the community and form partnerships that reach beyond what one company can do alone. He prides himself in providing careers for local families, giving donations and helping complete projects for local organizations that impact our community and keeping Billings trees healthy and beautiful for decades to come. Mike serves on the board of AMTOPP (Association of Montana Turf, Ornamental, and Pest Professionals), the BBWA board and has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 recipient. CM is active in many other organizations in the community including CLDI, Saluting Branches, LaVie, Ramsey Keller Memorial, Spring into Sight and many others. These partnerships are what make CM a great company to be a part of.
Chandra Brown – Business Operations Manager
Chandra was born and raised in Sidney, Montana where she found her love of community involvement and project leadership. After high school she served 4 years in the Air Force as a hydraulics mechanic traveling the world following September 11. She eventually moved to Billings where she now lives with her family. Chandra joined the CM team in June 2021 as a part time office assistant. She has developed her role as the Business Operations Manager for the company and currently handles all the big picture details for the company regarding training, HR, business development and scaling. She enjoys spending time with her family and chasing after her kiddo’s latest activities and interests as well as spending time in her garden and being involved with the community. She thrives in the growth stages of CM by building programs and processes from the ground up to meet the needs of the company. Chandra is currently developing the PHC Program for CM and is looking forward to what the future will bring.
Thomas McLaughlin – Production Manager / Crane Operator
Tom is originally from Northern New York, spent some time in Colorado and then moved to Montana. He has been in the tree service industry for 7 years and joined the CM Tree Service family in the Summer of 2022. Tom loves time in the trees but when he’s not working, he enjoys snowmobiling, hiking, and camping with his girlfriend and his dog Barretta. Most people don’t know it… but Tom loves westerns and if he could meet anyone, it would be Wyatt Earp so he could know what the Wild West was really like.
Zach Munn – Team Lead / Cutter / Climber
Zach has been in the tree industry for 15+ years. He and his wife have 7 children and volunteering and serving the local community is a passion and a way of life for the Munn family. They are heavily involved in foster care and adoption. Zach also serves at his church as a Sunday school teacher. But one of his favorite days of the year is Arbor Day, when he volunteers at the city level teaching 4th graders on how to identify trees in the community. Their family keeps busy working their land and raising goats and chickens. If Zach could meet anyone living or dead, he would want to meet his younger self so he could tell him to invest in Bitcoin when he had the chance.
Jaiden Gray – Cutter / Maintenance Foreman
Jaiden moved to Montana in 2023 and joined the CM Tree Service team. He is one of the younger members of our team and brought a work ethic that most men his age haven’t even thought about. Even though Jaiden has only been in the industry a short time, he already has set some amazing goals of getting certified to operate the crane and become a certified arborist. Personally, he looks forward to owning his own land and building a shop and home here in Montana.
When Jaiden is not working in the trees, on equipment or controlling the local racoon population, he enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, riding dirt bikes and camping with his 2 dogs. Being originally from Shoshone Idaho, the outdoors are in his blood. If Jaiden could meet anyone living or dead, it would be Johnny Cash so he could hear him sing live. We look forward to helping Jaiden grow within our company and personally through the years and we are blessed to have him as part of our team.
CJ Wolf – Groundsman / Equipment Operator
CJ is new to the tree care industry but has found his home away from home with our crew. He has excelled as an operator for us and is continuing to grow his experience and education in this area. He is always willing to go the extra mile and wants to learn as much as possible. CJ’s favorite part of working with CM is that every job is different. The challenges are always changing and that keeps it fun and interesting. When CJ is not working, he enjoys rafting, hiking and any kind of sport and if he could have any superpower it would be to read minds. His future goals include learning more about arboriculture and getting involved with the community.
Melissa Welbes – Administrative Specialist
Melissa is our Administrative Specialist and the first one you talk to when calling the office. She has had almost 2 decades in customer service and is a shining star to our customers and our team. Her favorite part of CM is the people. She understands we are a family working toward the same goal and helping our community together. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 35 but she has not allowed it to stop her. She stays active and lives life to the fullest!
